Introduction

This event is intended to be an OPEN event to players of all skill levels that just want to get out and have some fun while at the same time learning what it is like to experience the action and tactical prowess of being one of the scenario paintball specialist players - the elusive and stealthy paintball Sniper.

This event will be conducted over the course of a single day and is open to the first 25 participants that register.  Registration for this event will be required prior to the day of the event and in accordance with the deadline prescribed.  There will be no walk-on registrations accepted the morning of the event.

All paint for this event will be provided by Widowmaker Paintball so all you need to do is bring your gear, your marker, your air source and anything else necessary to support yourself for the day and come on out and see what you've got.  If you don't want to participate as a competitor, we will also need some volunteers to help with evaluating the players as well as filling the slots of our live targets (for this role you will need to bring your marker, supplies, etc. as you will be able to function as a Counter-Sniper operator).

Scenario

This event will find each participant being placed in an environment where they will be required to locate, identify and then engage targets at various ranges with a single shot, maneuvering through a defined lane and engaging a fixed target from varying distances, and finishing their program by again maneuvering through a target acquisition lane to selected point where they will then engage live targets (other people) and then attempt to sneak back out of the are without being detected or eliminated.

All of these skills require patience, camouflage, and a cunning spirit and are sure to be more fun than actual work.  Each phase of this competition is evaluated and will receive points based on established criteria.  At the end of the day, the top points earner will be designated as the Top Paintball Sniper.  This is an entry fee event but, the entry fee will be set based on the costs of materials for this event as well as any prize items or other expenses.

Registration

Registration for this event is not yet opened.  We will notify everyone as soon as registrations are being accepted.  However, if you are interested in this event, please notify us via email of our interest.  This event will only go on the schedule for next year if we are able to get at least 16 interested players to participate.  At this current time we are looking at the cost of entry being approximately $35.00 per person.  This will cover the cost of paint that will be used and to provide for an adequate prize collection for the top positions (at least the top two at this point, but the more people that end up registering, the more prize positions we will set).
