Welcome to the Widowmaker Paintball Productions website, your new home for tactical, military simulation based, scenario paintball events and competitions.  We are proud to be able to bring quality, professionally produced, developed and hosted scenario events and look forward to you and the other players of the region visiting us on the fields.

The area that we support is the Northern Nevada and Eastern California regions but all are welcome.  Our intent is to bring you full-scale scenario based paintball events without the major expenses that you find with other major event planners and hosts.  Our primary goal is to bring you these events on a recurring basis and to promote and advance the participation in the paintball industries fastest growing and largest play format - the world of mil-sim/tactical scenario play. 

 Unlike other producers though, we take a different approach to our designs and concepts and you will not find the same games/events as found at other locations.  All of our event formats, concepts and designs are 100% original and the sole intellectual property of the Widowmaker Paintball development team.  We also take a different path than other promoters by establishing a different approach towards supplies, products and other event related items, but more on this later.

As you browse throught the information collected on this site you will notice that it resembles a series of articles and stories.  That is in fact what this site is developed upon and these articles and stories are a cumulative work between those provided by the members of our production team as well as those provided by you, or people you know.  Basically, this site and everything about it is geared towards creating a Community of players that have a place to do more than just sign up for an event or purchase a product.  In fact, we want you to submit information to us for articles, stories, game ideas, whatever you have so that we can continue to enhance the player and event experience.

One thing that we are not is a paintball team but we do have our own internal team, the Reno Rangers, that is a highly skilled, technical and tactical team.  This team is currently made up of members from the production team but as we move forward, the possiblity of opening up some positions on the team is a very real possibility.  We will keep you informed of team happenings as they come up.

To ensure that we provide as wide a range as possible in event styles, we have developed our formats around three basic concepts.  They are:

• The Real-Time Strategy (RTS) style which incorporates true military-simulation concepts without the dangers of real combat
• The Tactical Team Series (TTS) style which is our own brand of small unit, tactical woods ball style play
• The Special Operations Series (SOS) style which is a collection of single day, special events that focus on a specific skill area such as Snipers, Small Unit Tactics, etc.

Another area that we will be venturing into as we move forward will be towards providing a leadership development style program of instruction that will use paintball as its training and teaching platform.  We are currently in the process of developing this plan and are not yet ready to release it at this time.
